I focus on nutrition as the cornerstone of naturopathic care as I believe food is our most powerful medicine. The following are the natural therapies I may use to encourage your body to balance, restore, and heal: 

NUTRITIONAL MEDICINE

It is no surprise that the food we put into our bodies every day has a significant impact on how it functions.

 

Nutrition is highly effective for preventing and treating many symptoms and illnesses, and without serious side effects.

Other nutritional assessment includes: Nutritional status testing your individual nutritional requirements, and food sensitivity testing.  

BOTANICAL MEDICINE

The use of herbs as whole plants in various medicinal preparations to help your body heal. 

 

Whole plants carry ancient wisdom, and there is a synergy at play of whole plant that is more than the individual biochemical constituents. In other words, the therapeutic properties of the plants are not simply a sum of the actions of the individual chemicals within it. 

ACUPUNCTURE

The ancient philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine uses small needles placed on the outside of your body along meridians (or pathways) to shift, balance and restore health inside the body.  

Physiological change in your body occurs through stimulating energy (Qi) along these meridians which link to specific organ systems. 

PHYSICAL MEDICINE

Soft tissue mobilization (chiropractic adjustments), alignment massage, constitutional hydrotherapy (water therapy), cupping, acupuncture, electro-stimulation, and custom exercise programs. 

 

We will go through an orthopaedic assessment to determine which form of physical medicine is right for you. 

MOVEMENT

Movement is therapeutic for both the body and the mind-and not just through endorphin release. It keeps our bodies resilient, our hearts strong, and is a wonderful way to relieve stress.

We will assess your physical capabilities, and the best way for you to move your body safely. 

COUNSELLING

I  provide a space for you to be fully heard, and heal what needs healing.

I implement tools to support a strong sense of self,  live your true purpose, to promote stress management and relaxation, assist in healthy eating through meal planning, and optimizing your sleep. 

CONSTITUTIONAL HYDROTHERAPY

Hydrotherapy involves the therapeutic use of water at different temperatures, and in various applications to stimulate your body to heal. 

Constitutional hydrotherapy changes the very make-up of your individual cell. The water causes the cells to excrete waste products more effectively, and to function optimally promoting: 

  • relaxation 

  • a strengthened immune system 

  • blood moving to decrease pain

  • improved detoxification

  • better digestion 

INTRAVENOUS NUTRIENT 

THERAPY

Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy is an effective way to provide a powerful boost of vitamins and minerals directly into your bloodstream giving an immediate and lasting boost in energy.
